Event offers cash grants and advice

SUSSEX businesses are being offered a grant worth up to £1,00, as well as the chance to explore how beat the downturn.

Inspiring Business Performance (IBP), which operates across London and the South, has teamed up with Skills South East to offer the county’s leaders and managers advice on accessing leadership and management training grants.

Advisers will be present at the ‘5 star business growth’ event which takes place at the The Hickstead Hotel, Bolney, on Thursday November 3 from 4 - 6.30pm.

The event is named due to the five key benefits of attending: £1,000 for personal development, subject to eligibility; free training for all managers in the organisation; a free staff survey for businesses with more than 10 employees; networking with local business decision-makers; and the opportunity to discover how to create a high performance workplace.

John Telfer, managing director of Inspiring Business Performance, said: “For organisations looking to grow, despite the economic conditions, this is the perfect opportunity to find out how that may be possible.

“We will have ‘growth directors’ at the event who can provide one-to-one advice and it is also a good chance to meet other decision-makers from the area.”

Eligible companies may wish to put the grant towards the cost of IBP’s Fast-Track Growth Programme which is aimed at companies looking to expand over the next 12 months.
