Martin Homes to raise charity cash with furniture sale at former Hurstpierpoint holiday centre

Martin Homes is selling furniture, kitchen equipment and other items from Torch Holiday and Retreat Centre, Hurstpierpoint, to raise funds for Cancervive charity.

The event takes place on Friday (April 9) from 10am to 3pm and Saturday (April 10) from 10am to 12pm.

On March 11 Mid Sussex District Council gave Martin Homes planning permission to change the resort into new homes.

A Martin Homes spokesman said: “When we acquired the site, various items had been left in the property and it is our intention to sell them off in order to raise money for a local charity, CancerVive.

“Martin Homes, as a company, feels very strongly about assisting the communities local to our developments and to help charity where we can.”
