The company, which has developments in Burgess Hill and Wisborough Green, began reopening its show homes by appointment earlier this year and said it immediately received significant levels of enquiry from people who want to move quickly.

Sales and marketing director Sara Stanhope added: “While we had been selling homes remotely during lockdown, the level of interest since we reopened has been highly encouraging.

“New homes are very much in the spotlight, especially those that are built and ready to move into. People are telling us that they want a brand new home, but they don’t want to wait.

“Some have been looking to move for some time, others have made their decision during lockdown. Then there are those who had reserved a new home off-plan but build dates have been pushed back and they either cannot wait, or they don’t want to.”

The firm has introduced safe viewing procedures which observe social distancing rules, which mean people can now look around show homes and other completed properties, Sara said.

She added: “Each home comes with a certificate to confirm it has been cleaned to the highest standards before handover. This, along with the reassurance that the flooring, surfaces and appliances are all new, make new homes more desirable than a second hand property.”

Sara said: “We’re ready to help people to move in as soon as they are able.”
