Burgess Hill Lions donate £12,000 to schools so laptops can be bought for struggling home students

Burgess Hill District Lions Club has donated thousands of pounds to schools in the district so laptops, iPads and other technical equipment can be bought for students who are struggling to access online learning during the lockdown.

The Lions donated £2,000 each to the following Burgess Hill schools – Manor Field Primary School, The Burgess Hill Academy and London Meed Primary School.

It also donated £2,000 each to the following Hassocks schools – The Windmills Junior School, Downlands Community School and and Albourne C of E Primary School.

The equipment will remain the property of the schools and loaned out to the pupils requiring them.
