Lindfield group names first wind farm turbine

A ‘worthy name’ for the first operational turbine in the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm has been chosen by public vote.

Nearly 1,000 people voted and the winning name was Veranzio Turbine, as suggested by EcOathall, the year-seven eco club at Oathall Community College in Lindfield.

Rampion Offshore Wind Farm is the first offshore wind farm off the south coast of England.
