The home care provider has kept its customers and team members safe during the Covid-19 pandemic, said the MP, adding that staff have also kept everyone’s spirits high.

An online awards ceremony celebrating Mid Sussex’s Covid Heroes of the past year was held via Zoom on Friday (March 12).

The winners were entered into a draw for the chance to win a House of Commons bottle of champagne.

Nicola Munday, care manager at Bluebird Care Mid Sussex, said the ceremony was a special experience.

“I was delighted to share our journey through the Covid-19 Pandemic and listen to other experiences and achievements within our community,” she said.

“It was a proud moment to represent not only our team at Bluebird Care, but also our industry as a whole,” she added.

Scarlett Cabrini, managing director of Bluebird Care Mid Sussex, said it was ‘an absolute honour’ to be recognised.

“Our care teams have worked around the clock, going above and beyond for all their customers over the past year,” she said.

“Covid-19 has been a huge challenge,” she added. “But thanks to the determination, resilience and positivity of our team members, we have kept our customers safe, secure and happy in their own homes.”

MP Mims Davies said: “It has been both incredibly humbling and heartening to see people and communities coming together to help and support others when assistance was needed. I am comforted and reassured to know Mid Sussex is full of the most wonderful and caring people.”
