ME/CFS is a neurological illness, with symptoms like muscle fatigue and weakness, poor concentration and short term memory, loss of balance and dizziness.

Other symptoms can include irritable bowel problems and chronic pain, and it is thought that one in 200 people in the UK suffer from it.

The causes of it are not fully known, and there is currently no cure, but symptoms often show following an infection - it is thought that infection and stress make the immune system malfunction, so it keeps producing chemicals that prolong flu like symptoms.

Key speakers at the conference will be Dr Charles Shepherd, medical adviser to the ME Association, Dr Willy Weir of Harley Street, Dr Nina Muirhead who is a surgeon, Dr Amolak Bansal, immunologist from Surrey and Dr Paul Worthley, GP.

All of the speakers are experts on ME/CFS, and will speak on all the latest developments in the world of ME/CFS including the all-party parliamentary group, the ME Biobank and research into possible genetic causes of this debilitating long term illness.

Tickets, which cost £5 and include light refreshments, are available from reMEmber.
