Chichester Voices are to air their talents in aid of the British Heart Foundation at 7.30pm on Thursday March 21 at St Thomas a Becket Church, Pagham.

The Lent Concert is entitled Lux Aeterna (Eternal Light) and includes favourite works by Elgar and Scarlatti, as well as John Rutter’s exquisite Requiem.

“Conducted by Andrew Naylor, and with Richard Scott-Copeland playing the organ, the concert promises to be an early spring highlight for music-lovers,” said spokeswoman Jane Ramage.

“The British Heart Foundation raises funds for research into heart disease and has developed many of the investigations and treatments now available to patients, while also providing information and support for patients and their families.

“Its campaigns, such as the recent Vinnie Jones advertisement demonstrating hands-only CPR, are aimed at making people aware of important symptoms and what to do in an emergency, and it also encourages healthy eating and exercise to prevent heart disease. The charity also funds lifesaving equipment like defibrillators used in ambulances, surgeries and sports centres.”

Tickets cost £10, concessions £7.50, to include interval refreshments. Call 07900-098197 or 07999-534002.
