The Willows Folk Club in Arundel prepare to welcome their next special guests, acoustic supergroup Superstrings, who play the club on Wednesday, July 24.

Spokesman Chris Davis said: “Superstrings have developed a huge following in Sussex, and it’s easy to see why. The band are a combination of several leading lights from the local acoustic music scene, teamed up together to create a diverse and energised sound that has found a home at a variety of clubs, festivals and other venues across the south.

The band describe their sound as being made up of a lively and entertaining repertoire including Hot Club, Gypsy Jazz, Swing and Bluegrass music. Featuring Jon Wigg on fiddle, Dave Soothill on guitar, and Trevor Britton on double bass, with all of the band handling vocal duties, the musical skill and experience that each member brings to the band helps to create their powerhouse sound!
