Twenty-two new jobs are set to be created when a new pub opens at a landmark site in Burgess Hill’s Church Street.
The Block and Gasket is due to open its doors on Friday March 4 once the building has undergone a £250,000 transformation.
Builders, decorators and deliveries moved into the old Jacob’s Post straight after Valentine’s Day, and this week drawings were released by owners Stonegate Pub Company revealing the vision for the venue.
New manager Tony Begley said: “The Block and Gasket is going to be huge for Burgess Hill. We are getting ready for an exclusive launch party on 4th March, with plans being revealed in coming weeks.
“We are also recruiting for our rapidly expanding team and invite dynamic, passionate, customer orientated, people to step forward and apply – our award winning training is second to none so it’s all about character and attitude.”
The new bar promises to bring together the best in beer and premium drinks, with six craft beers on tap, the finest wines and spirits, smoothies and frappes, alongside a list of cocktails, expertly made by the extensively trained bar team.
Hand-stretched, stone-baked pizzas, freshly made to order are promised with canapés of delicious grills, classics and sharers available on the opening night.
