A woman has been taken to hospital with a head injury after she fell from a horse.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said the air ambulance and two paramedic crews were called to the scene in Cansiron Lane, Ashhurst Wood, East Grinstead, at 12.30pm on Tuesday (March 15).

He said the woman, who was in her 40s, was taken to East Surrey Hospital by road.

It was believed she was involved in an accident.
