ARDINGLY CINEMA is screening the next film evening on December 3, title to be announced soon. As always refreshments will be available before the film and during the 15 minute interval. Advance tickets will be available from the Post Office or Fellows Bakery, so come along to enjoy a local evening out with family and friends.
EVENT: Ardingly College, Get Help to Get Connected, from November 2 for six weeks. Ardingly College, Mid Sussex Older People’s Council and the Parish Council have been working in partnership to set up the ‘Get help to get connected’ sessions. Would you like to learn how to get connected to your friends and family via the internet or over the phone? Would you like help with your shopping, but cannot get to the shops? Students from the College will be ready, willing and able to help you. If you have a laptop, tablet or mobile phone bring it along, if not still come along as students can advise you on what is available, what price and how they work. This is for anyone 50 years plus living in Ardingly or the surrounding area. There is a possibility of transport in the school mini-bus if you live in Ardingly and cannot get there otherwise, but you need to contact 01444 242760 to book in advance. WORKSHOPS: The Koorana Centre are holding workshops for teens feeling stressed, No Worries. Teens are you ready to rise above anxiety, tension and stress? Join a fun and interactive one-day workshop for young people, to reduce your anxiety and feel happier. You’ll learn simple mindfulness techniques to relax, feel calm and increase your self-confidence. Sunday November 22, 11am to 5pm. CHRISTMAS FAYRE: The Hapstead Hall Christmas Fayre will be held on Saturday December 5 from 1pm to 4.30pm. Bookings for the stalls has been busy, so if anyone wishes to run a stall at the Fayre please contact the Hapstead Hall Clerk, Caroline Steer by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 07565 098312 or 01444 892108. It is a great opportunity to raise funds and to take part in a very festive community event. Father Christmas will be in attendance from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Various stalls including food for Christmas. Refreshment available. Carols around the tree outside Hapstead Hall at 5pm.
