ARDINGLY CRICKET CLUB AGM: At the recent Ardingly cricket club AGM Nick May stepped down from being 1st team captain after 11 years of outstanding leadership that has seen the club develop into a sustainable and successful organisation. Last season the 1st team finished third in the Mid Sussex Stoner League division 2, the highest league finish for many years. The 2nd team also had a good year finishing third in division 5. The U12 Colts team finished a creditable fourth in their league. Next season Abhi Lohokare will skipper the 1st Team whilst Toby Silverman and Sam Nurse will continue their successful partnership of last season as joint captains of the 2nd team. Nick May will continue as Colts manager, hoping to enter both U13 and U10 teams in the junior league. The Club remains in a healthy financial position and is very grateful to Ardingly College for their generous sponsorship. Winter indoor nets will once again be at the College during February and March. New members will be most welcome. A cricket week is planned for the last week of July, returning a popular event to the Village after a gap of many years
