Ardingly Country Market & Lace Demonstrations: Have you ever thought about bobbin lace making ?

On Thursday 2nd June at Hapstead Hall in Ardingly we are holding a lace demonstration during the Country Market with three WI ladies who are also members of the Sackville Lacemakers from East Grinstead, showing us how it’s done and answering any questions you may have.

We would love to see you there between 10 - 11 am and you can also have a look and maybe buy some of the lovely cakes, savouries and preserves, fresh flowers, plants and veg that we have for sale at the Country Market. We have a new craft table with some lovely beaded jewellery and crochet and sewn items too. Everything can be ordered and we will try and make it for you ! (The market is on every week on a Thursday morning from 10-11am).

Entry is FREE and it is only 50p for a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits should you fancy a sit down and a chat !

There is also plenty of free parking in the High Street, in Street Lane or in the car park by the recreation ground or behind Hapstead Hall.

Sackville Lacemakers are always looking for new members. Any queries or questions please contact Fiona on 01444 891217 Scaynes Hill WI. Or Jenny on 01444 89214701444 892147 About buying or selling at the Market.

The cricket season: is upon us again. Ardingly Cricket Club has two league teams in the Stoner Mid Sussex League (divisions 2 and 5 respectively). Matches are every Saturday from 7th May.

We also have a Sunday friendly team, which plays its games at Ardingly Rec or at Brook House.

The junior section is also thriving and we will be entering teams at under 9 and under 13 this season. We welcome boys and girls from 7 to 13.

Ardingly CC is a friendly and community-based village club where we welcome players of all sizes and standards. Whilst experience of the first class game is always welcome, there is a place for everyone.
