Ardingly Village Fete & Fun Run Report: It was a glorious sunny September day for the Ardingly Village Fete and Fun Run.

A report from the Fete is below and thanks to Will Meldrum and his team for organising the event. This year we received £400 sponsorship from Millwood Designer Homes Ltd, the developers of the Standgrove Field site towards the cost of the Fete and Fun Run.

“The fete ran from noon to 4pm on Sunday 11th and we had an estimated 250 attendees, a good increase on previous years. This was boosted in part through the excellent fun run which was a new activity for 2016 as well as the extremely pleasant weather. The fete team have also sought to build momentum across the years so that people in the village know when the fete is and what to expect. Activities included the fun run, a dog show, a climbing wall donated by the Parish Council, bric-a-brac stalls, a bouncy castle and slide, food and drink stalls, a cake stall, children’s game and pony rides.

Thanks and regards - The Fete Team”

The First Ardingly Fun Run was a runaway success!! Thanks to the organisers Phil Payne and Kim Lo who pulled the event together, which we hope will become an annual event to be held in the village. For the full results of the main race please visit and photos can also be found on the Facebook event page. The winner of the race was Under 15 Joseph Martin of Haywards Heath Harriers in a time of 34.25, and first female was Kat Barrett in 41.23. Veteran prizes went to Andy Guy and Samanatha Ridley.
