ROAD NEWS: South East Water will be installing a new water meter and bypass and laying a new main from 4 July until 12 July on the Handcross Road so watch out for disruptions. On the London Road on 4 July until 5 July there will be two way signals while tree removal work is undertaken.

LOCUS YOUTH GROUP: meet on Friday 1 July at 6.30 pm in the Parish Room.

Silent Auction: There will be a silent auction in aid of St Mary’s Church, on Saturday 2 July with pre-viewings from 4.00 pm and bids between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm. Light Refreshments will be available. Please bring items to the Church on FRIDAY 1st JULY between 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm or SATURDAY 2nd JULY between 10 am and 2 pm or by alternative arrangement - contact The Rectory on 01444 811249. They will be grateful for any quality items in respectable condition and in good working order, of any value, that you would like to donate to help raise funds for the refurbishment of our Parish Church.

BALCOMBE FETE: takes place on Saturday 16 July between 12 and 5.00 pm and in the evening from 7.00 pm until 10.30 pm at the Recreation Ground. There is something for everyone with the Scouts on the BBQ and cakes, a Pimms bar, Beer Festival and a whole host of events in the main arena. Dance, singing from inChoir, Tug-of-War, Morris dancing, The Hounds, Dog Show, Horse Riding Display, Egg Catching to name a few. Look out for the grand entrance of the Scooters that are coming along this year. The Flower and Craft Show will also be repeated – pick up an entry form from Balcombe Stores. In the evening the Beer Festival continues and the band Two Choices will be playing.

BALCOMBE BOWLS CLUB - On Saturday 25 June Balcombe 58: Vicarage Bowls Club 78. On Sunday 26 June 18 members contested the Memorial Cup. The winning team were Gordon Brown, Peter Green and Julie Fenton.
