Balcombe

Happy Christmas Balcombe and all good wishes for 2019: If you would like your event publicised in this column then contact me on [email protected].

Last Saturday because of the dreadful weather The CAROLS AROUND THE TREE event was relocated to the Victory Hall. It was as jolly as ever with all in good voice to sing a range of favourite carols. Thank you to the Christmas Tree Society for saving the day and keeping us dry with the change of venue and putting on another splendid affair. Also thanks to the choir and Maggie for their efforts. We hope that a lot of money was raised for our local clubs and organisations.

BALCOMBE COMMUNITY LINKS: is on Friday 21 December from 11.00 am until 1.30 pm in the WI Room in the Victory Hall. This month they will have information available about the new Age UK initiative to run a regular weekly session in the Forest Room of the Balcombe Club. This will start on Monday 21 January and promises to be a great way of getting out and about to enjoy a tea or coffee in warm surroundings with others to natter to.
