Balcombe

BALCOMBE WI: meet on Thursday 4 October at 2.00 pm in the Victory Hall. The speaker this month is one of our own from the village and she will be talking about her '˜Time in Tartan' as a Trolley Dolley. All are welcome and there may be cake involved too.

BALCOMBE REMEMBERS: Our fantastic display of poppies is now on the church bank providing a wonderful tribute to those that served in the First World War. There is still an opportunity to reserve and purchase a poppy (£15) which you will be able to take home after Remembrance Sunday at a date and time to be arranged. Contact the Parish Council now on 811833 if you would like to buy one – you will receive a lovely voucher memento which you will redeem for your poppy after the display. After expenses any additional revenue will be donated to the Royal British Legion.

BALCOMBE CLUB: has the Broadkasters Blues Band performing on Saturday 6 October. Rob Glazebrook and the boys certainly know how to play authentic vintage blues. On Sunday 7 October it is Quiz Night with Pam and Barrie, starting at 8.00 pm, teams of four.
