SUPERSTARS is coming up with the first event on Sunday 1 May – This annual village competition is open to anyone and includes 17 events, a feast of sport and fun for all. There are 8 entry categories and anyone can be a winner.

BALCOMBE FRENCH ASSOCIATION’S: wine tasting event is on Friday 22 April at 7.30 pm in the Victory Hall. Tickets are on sale now in Threads. The theme is Affordable Wines from France and Beyond. There will be plenty of choice for everyone and a good number of wines on offer. Tickets are £15 for members and £17.50 for non-members and you can get your tickets from Threads or pay on the website. As ever there will be some nibbles to keep you going, and we’ll be in the Victory Hall to make sure we stay warm and dry. There will also be a wine-related fun quiz, and the winner gets a bottle of wine. What better way to start the weekend or celebrate an anniversary?

BRYONY’S CURRY NIGHT – After the success of the Chilli Takeaway last Friday when Bryony served nearly 40 meals she is repeating her fund-raising mission for Meningitis on Friday 29 April when Chicken Tikka Masala or Veggie Curry with white rice is on the menu for only £6. All the money will go towards the Meningitis Research Foundation as part of Bryony’s fundraising expedition to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in September.
