The Horticultural Society/Gardening Club held their AGM in the Rawson Hall last Friday. The following Officers were elected - Judy Woodland (President); Cyril Lucas (Vice President); David Kennard (Chairman); Emily Hutchings (Secretary); Anthony Ely (Treasurer); Christine Hunt (Show Secretary), Jo Glew (Assistant Show Secretary). Please make a note in your diaries of the events that the Horticultural Society/Gardening Club have arranged in 2016. Spring Show (Saturday March 19) Coffee morning/plant sale (Saturday May 7) Annual Flower and Vegetable Show (Saturday August 13) AGM (Friday November 25). All will take place in the Rawson Hall and more details will be published nearer the dates. New members would be very welcome to join the Society.
The Post Office continues to be open at Bookers Vineyard, Foxhole Lane on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9.30am - 1pm. for purchasing your Christmas stamps, cards, stationery etc.
Bolney CEP School are holding a Christmas Fair in the school on Saturday December 12, between 2pm - 4pm. Various Christmas stalls.
Advent and Christmas services at the Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene commence on Saturday December 19 with Bethlehem comes to Bolney - 5pm Lantern procession with donkey and Holy Family from Rawson Hall to Church. 5.30pm family event with music, carols, crib scenes, food and the arrival of the Holy Family. Sunday December 20, 6.30pm Carols and readings for Christmas. Christmas Eve: 3pm Blessing of the Crib. Christmas Day 9.30am Christmas Sung Eucharist.
January events - Friday January 15, Rawson Hall, Bolney. 7.30pm - 10.30pm Clothes Swap Evening. Saturday January 23, at Bolney Chapel, Top Street, 10am - 4pm Belt Making Workshop. For further information on both events please contact Sarah (01444 881783)
