Easter Services: at the parish church of St Mary Magdalene commence with Palm Sunday, March 20, when the congregation will meet at Drovers, Paynesfield, at 9.40am to process with palms to the church for 10am service Breathing Space Sung Eucharist. Good Friday 2pm Liturgy of the Day, Easter Sunday 9.30am family Sung Eucharist
Batchelors Field Community Cafe: are holding a family Easter trail on Wednesday March 30 between 12 noon and 3pm. Advance registration is required, please sign up in the cafe before the day, 50p per child. Collect entry form on the day and follow the clues around the village. There will be a prize for all who complete the trail. There will also be egg painting on the day at the cafe.
The cafe is open every Monday, Wednesday and Fridays between 10am - 4.30pm for hot and cold drinks, a selection of hot and cold food, cakes etc. Takeaways are also available. Please note the cafe will be closed on Good Friday but open between 10.30am - 2pm during the duration of the Pram Race on Easter Monday.
The famous Bolney Pram Race: will take place on Easter Monday starting at the Eight Bells Public House. Children’s race 12 noon and adults 1pm. At the Eight Bells there will be live music, face painting, bouncy castle, hog roast and much more. Proceeds will go to SERV and the Chailey Heritage Foundation.
