Two people have been taken to hospital after an ambulance flipped over in a crash on the A23.
The accident happened between the A281 Henfield junction and the B2118 Hurstpierpoint and Sayers Common junction on the northbound carriageway at 6.30pm today (January 8).
South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) said the ambulance did not belong to the service.
SECAmb was called to the scene just before 7pm. Witnesses saw the ambulance on its roof.
Two people, believed to be the driver and a passenger were taken to hospital.
The road was opened before 9pm.
