Burgess Hill District Lions Club is supporting the Indonesia Tsunami Appeal following the devastating tsunami and earthquakes.

Lions clubs throughout the British Isles are being asked to support the appeal.

Money collected by Lions clubs will be spent on supplying water purification tablets. Each tablet is capable of purifying five litres of water.

A spokesman for Burgess Hill District Lions Club said: “Lions clubs throughout the British Isles are being asked to support the appeal following the two serious earthquakes in a month, the second hitting the Island Sulawesi was accompanied by a Tsunami which destroyed much of the City of Palu.”
