Buses replace trains following fault

A fault on a Southern train has caused disruption on the line between Oxted and Uckfield this morning (Sunday, September 6).

The train operator is currently running a two hourly service, with buses in place of cancelled trains.

Buses are calling additionally at Edenbridge and Tunbridge Wells stations to connect with alternative services to and from London.

Buses are also running between Haywards Heath and Uckfield, calling at Crowborough and Buxted.

Alternative travel options are available to passengers, including Southeastern services between London and Tunbridge Wells.

However the train operator is warning travellers that buses are running in the place of trains between Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells due to engineering work.

Other alternative options are the Thameslink service between London and Brighton or Brighton & Hove Buses route 29 between Tunbridge Wells and Lewes.

The disruption is expected to continue all day today.
