This can be anything from hanging baskets to small pots of flowers or herbs to brighten up the town.

Neil Simmons, Lettings Manager for Leaders Haywards Heath says “As a well-established local business always striving to contribute to this wonderful, vibrant town, we are delighted to be sponsoring this new award as part of the Haywards Heath in Bloom celebrations.

“I’m sure it will bring about a great improvement in the overall appearance of the town and am looking forward to seeing what creative and colourful touches local businesses will come up with!”

Judging will take place this summer and the winners will be invited along to a ceremony and afternoon reception hosted by the Mayor of Haywards Heath.

This new category fits into the already established Best Kept Garden and Allotment competition which has proven very popular among gardeners and residents of the town in the past.

If you notice a business, garden or allotment that you feel deserves acknowledgement for their efforts or own one yourself please get in touch with Haywards Heath Town Hall on 01444 455694

The council is also glad to announce that the Haywards Heath In Bloom committee has purchased a new sign for Muster Green to acknowledge the Gold award the area won in the South and South East In Bloom competition last year.

“This is a perfect way to recognise the hard work that our Grounds staff team at Haywards Heath Town Council provide for the flowerbeds and general maintenance of this park,” said a spokesperson.
