Caravan '˜severely damaged' by blaze in Clayton

A caravan was severely damaged after it went up in flames in Clayton yesterday (Tuesday April 19).

No one is thought to have been injured in the blaze, which was started deliberately, West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said.

Firefighters received multiple calls to the fire in Underhill Lane at about 9pm.

They extinguished the flames using two hose reels.

The crews from Hurstpierpoint and Burgess Hill were at the scene for about 40 minutes.
