Robyn had come up with the idea herself and so the family set the wheels in motion, spoke to the charity, booked hair appointments and booked a photographer to capture the event.

Helen said: Leigh, Kay and Louise at Beauty Expert Hair and Skincare on Western Road in Hove calmed our nerves and did a fantastic job on our hair.

“We had to plait our hair with it tied at the top and bottom and then the plait was cut off.

“All of our hair laid end to end measured 1m in length and the three of us took it over the road to the salon that takes the hair donations on behalf of The Little Princess Trust.

“It will go towards making wigs to give to children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other illnesses.

“Liz Good from Good Imaging took some amazing photos of us whist we were having our hair cut and afterwards. So far we have raised over £650 which is amazing!”

Each wig costs the charity between £350 and £500 to make.
