A charity dinner at Shapla in Burgess Hill raised money for St Peter and St James Hospice.
Forty people enjoyed a meal and raffle, which raised £400.
It was organised by Tony Parris, secretary for Burgess Hill District Lions Club.
Wendy Agate, community fundraiser for the hospice, said: “Around 40 people enjoyed a three course meal and raffle and £400 was raised which will help the hospice to continue to provide expert and compassionate hospice care to adults living with terminal illness in the area as they rely on the generosity of the community to cover more than 80 per cent of the running costs.
“The Lions would like to thank Mr Hussian, the owner of Shapla for hosting the event, which marked the restaurant’s 35th anniversary.”
