Charity hospice celebrates one year lottery anniversary

St Peter & St James Hospice is celebrating its one year anniversary of joining forces with the Local Hospice Lottery.

In the passed year, there have been 37 winners with 1,168 people currently playing in support of St Peter & St James Hospice each week.

The partnership with Local Hospice Lottery is a way to raise vital funds.

Lottery tickets cost £1 and the draw takes place every Friday, with a top weekly prize of £1,500, a second prize of £400 which, if not won, can roll-over to £10,000, a third prize of £100 and 100 prizes of £10 each.

One lottery player is Jo July, whose husband Martin, was cared for by the hospice. Jo said: “Martin was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer and died at the age of 46. The care and support Martin received during his illness, and at the end of his life, was delivered with love by the hospice, as was the care and support given to me and our four- year-old twin daughters.”
