Community champions Tony Parris and Jerry Bradford have have been on a weight loss journey.

The pair went to Heights Gym in Burgess Hill one day a week for ten weeks in a bid to lose weight and to raise money for Burgess Hill Radio.

The pair raised around £150.

The gym is encouraging others to follow in their footsteps.

Owner Sue Upton said: “It just shows what can be achieved with a little bit of consistency.

“Tony has lost nine pounds and Jerry has lost a kilo, which are great results.

“Tony had never been to a gym before, he is going to join now as he is seeing the benefits.

“A lot of people have this perception that you have to do so much to achieve anything. One session is better than nothing.”

Tony is secretary for Burgess Hill District Lions Club and Jerry is station manager for Burgess Hill Radio – a not-for-profit community radio station.

The pair have raised around £150 so far.
