A French bistro could join restaurant chains in Haywards Heath after an licence application was submitted to the council.
Côte Restaurants has applied to Mid Sussex District Council for a premises licence for 59 - 61 The Broadway, Haywards Heath.
The application includes proposals for selling alcohol from 10am to midnight, playing recorded music from 8am and midnight and late night refreshment between 11pm and midnight.
The chain describes the inspiration for Côte as ‘a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris’.
The Mid Sussex Times contacted Côte Restaurants Ltd but a spokeswoman said the company cannot confirm whether the restaurant will be coming to the town.
The application form for the licence states: “The premises will be a stylish French Bistro.
“It is a food base operation offering high quality food and wines.
“The premises are part of the Côte chain of restaurants who have a number of sites in London and the surrounding areas.”
The premises is currently occupied by Heath News newsagents and Everest Spice, a Nepalese and Indian Restaurant.
