The Broadfield dad-of-three and former Hazelwick maths teacher appeared on last night’s (Thursday, February 11) live BBC One show.

He said: “All of the sides of the argument seem to be using scaremongering tactics with regards to immigration.”

He called for ‘proper economic arguments’ instead and told UKIP leader Nigel Farage: “I do believe that uncontrolled immigration is a bad thing.

“The issue is that the way that debate is held engenders distrust in our population.”
