CCTV image released after large quantity of meat stolen from Hassocks shop

Police investigating the theft of a large quantity of meat from a Hassocks shop have released this CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to.

Officers were alerted to the theft at Budgens in Orion Parade, at 2.45pm on Friday, July 31.

A spokesman said: “Sussex Police are seeking the identity of the woman in the photograph, who they would like to speak to in connection with shoplifting.

“The woman is described as white, in her mid-30s, with long black hair and she was wearing a black and red Adidas t-shirt and black shorts.

“If anyone recognises the woman or has information to assist our investigation please report online or call 101 quoting serial 1569 of 04/08.”
