Firefighters dealt with two incidents on Saturday (April 12) in Mid Sussex where materials were set alight deliberately.

The first call came at 7.30am at an area to the rear of Penn Crescent in Haywards Heath.

A bonfire had been lit in the woods by youths. It was put out with buckets of water.

The second was just after 7pm at a building site compound at the new build estate off Chandlers Field Drive in Bolnore Village.

A quantity of building materials in the compound were severely damaged by fire.

The damaged area was damped down and turned over.
