Floral tributes left after man, 24, dies in Crawley stabbing

Floral tributes have been left at the site of a fatal stabbing in Crawley.

Emergency services were called to Russell Way at 9pm on Tuesday, October 27, where they found a 24-year-old man seriously injured, said police. He was treated by paramedics and an air ambulance doctor, but despite the specialist care provided was declared dead at the scene.

Nine bunches of flowers were left at the site of the incident. Some had messages written on them.

One said: “Gone but never forgotten. May you rest up in perfect peace.”

Police investigating the murder said they have arrested a teenage girl.

A spokesman added: “A 14-year-old girl from Crawley was arrested in south London around 10.20pm on Wednesday (October 28) on suspicion of murder.

“A 21-year-old man from London was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

“Anyone with information about the incident is asked to report online or call 101 quoting Operation Parkhead.”
