Foot-long knife seized by police on train at Gatwick Airport

A person has been arrested for carrying a large hunting-style knife on a train at Gatwick Airport.

The knife measures more than a foot long from the pommel to the tip of the blade.

British Transport Police announced the arrest on Twitter this afternoon.

They confirmed that the arrest was made by an off-duty police officer.

A picture of the large blade was included, placed next to a 30cm ruler for scale.
