A PSPO can target a range of behaviours and can prohibit specified activities or require certain things to be done by people engaged in certain activities.

“It sends a clear message that certain behaviours will not be tolerated and helps reassure residents and businesses that unreasonable conduct is being addressed,” said the district council.

The PSPO prohibits car cruise activity and associated vehicle related nuisance in Burgess Hill.

Authorised police and council officers have the authority to issue fixed penalty notices for PSPO’s.
