Man absconds from open prison in Sussex - Dial 999 immediately if you see him

Police are searching for a man who has absconding from Ford Prison.

Jay Davis, 33, is reported to have gone missing around 8am on Monday (October 12).

According to Sussex Police, he was serving a sentence for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

A spokesperson said: "He is described as 5ft 6in, of slim build, with brown hair.

"Davis has links to Sussex and Hampshire.

"Anyone who sees him is advised not to approach him, but to dial 999 immediately."
