Man knocked out in village fight

A man was knocked out after being punched during a fight in Southwater, police said.

Officers said a 35-year-old man had been walking through a car park at about 8.30pm on Friday (February 17) when a dispute broke out between him and a group of boys.

The man was then punched and the boys left the area.

Officers said he was taken to hospital with a cut to his head.

Police said a 16-year-old boy, from Horsham, was arrested later that day on suspicion of actual bodily harm. He has since been released without charge.
