Man suffers ‘multiple serious injuries’ in Crawley stabbing

A man has been taken to hospital with ‘multiple serious injuries’ after a stabbing in Crawley.

Officers were called to Berrymeade Walk following an altercation involving two men just before 6pm on Thursday (August 20), police said.

A spokesman added: “The victim, a man in his 50s, suffered multiple serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.”

A 59-year-old man from Crawley was arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, said police. He remains in custody while the investigation is ongoing.

The spokesman added: “The victim and suspect are known to each other and police are not looking for anyone else in connection to the assault.
