Men due in court after £16,000 drugs bust on the A23

Two men are due in court after police conducting traffic checks on the A23 seized some £16,000 worth of cocaine from their car.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said police stopped a Land Rover Discovery which was travelling north on the A23 at Handcross Hill shortly before midnight on Wednesday (May 13).

The officers seized three quarters of a pound of cocaine with a total potential estimated street value of £16,000.

Two men were arrested.

Dominic Bradshaw, 32, unemployed, of Townsley Close, Luton, and Russell Williams, 49, unemployed, of no fixed address, were due to appear in custody at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Friday (May 15) charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
