Police call for witnesses after reported assault on cyclist in Lindfield

Police are seeking witnesses after a report of a ‘road rage’ assault on a cyclist in Lindfield High Street.

Inspector Darren Taylor of Mid Sussex Police said the incident happened at 12.20pm on Saturday (April 24).

He said: “The victim was cycling with friends when they stated they were verbally abused by the driver in a grey convertible.

“The driver then allegedly assaulted the victim and attacked his bicycle, kicking at it.

Police are seeking witnesses after an alleged assault in Lindfield High Street.

“The female passenger seemed to try and restrain the said suspect and convinced him to leave.”
