Police are seeking a group who attacked and robbed a man in a Haywards Heath park

A police statement says that just after midnight on Saturday (July `19) at the recreation ground behind Clair Hall in Haywards Heath, a group of eight to ten teenage boys confronted a 33-year old local man, punched and kicking before stealing his bag containing personal effects including clothing, keys and a mobile phone.

The victim, who had been walking from Perrymount Road towards Oathall Road, sustained cuts and bruises.

The suspects were all described as white, slim, and wearing hooded tops.

Detective Constable Mike George said; “We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around that time and who saw what happened or who has any other information that might help. In particular, the victim saw the group intimidating two other unknown men walking through the park just before he was attacked.
