‘Unexploded shell’ found in Horsham

An ‘unexploded shell’ found in Horsham has been dealt with by police.

Horsham Police said on Twitter the device, found last night (May 12), turned out to be a fuse mechanism for a bomb which was ‘reasonably easy’ to remove.

The County Times has approached Horsham Police for more information about the incident.

In a round up of incidents officers said they had dealt with a crash, a drink driver and several domestic violence incidents as well.

A spokesman added they also dealt with three missing people and two people who had left mental health hospitals.
