Vandals ‘severely damage’ Copthorne church lychgate
Vandals have caused severe damage to the lychgate at the entrance to St John The Evangelist Church in Copthorne.
Police say the vandals burnt the upper arm of the lychgate and wording on it.
A spokesman said:”This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated, it also destroys out heritage.”
He appealed to anyone with any information about the incident to call Sussex Police on the non-emergency number 101.
