Warning over bogus calls in Burgess Hill

Police have issued a warning over bogus callers targeting residents in Burgess Hill.

Officer say fraudsters have been phoning people in the area saying they are from the water company and offering to fix roofs and drains.

A police spokesman said: “Don’t be afraid to say NO and tell them to leave.

“If you feel threatened call 999.”
