Woman arrested after Horsham collision seriously injures motorcyclist

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital following a collision in Horsham.

The collision, which involved a motorcycle and a black Volkswagen, happened in Brighton Road at around 4pm on Monday, July 19, police said.

A spokesman for the force added: “The motorcyclist – a 65-year-old man – suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged and is continuing his recovery at home.”

They confirmed a 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specific controlled drug above the specified limit. She has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Officers investigating the collision are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who may have captured any relevant dash cam footage.
