Cuckfield Museum: hosts a talk by Tony Wilson MBE, MSc. entitled “State of the Art at the British Museum” tonight, Thursday, 25 February, 8.00 pm in the Council Chamber, The Queen’s Hall, Cuckfield. Tony was the Project Director for the British Museum’s “World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre”, the £135 million pound development completed in 2014 and providing approximately 17,000m2 of new, state-of-the art facilities at the museum. Tony’s illustrated talk will cover the construction of the World Conservation & Exhibition Centre, and will explain how the new building has helped to transform the way in which the museum stores, conserves and displays its collection of over 6 million objects. The New England Wood Trust Annual Public Meeting: will be held in Cuckfield at the Parish Office of the Queen’s Hall on Tuesday 1 March 2016 promptly at 8.15p.m. An opportunity for the people of Cuckfield to meet the Trustees and hear the Chairman’s report on the management of the wood.
