CUCKFIELD SATURDAY MARKET: A friendly local market now in its eight year. The market is on the second Saturday of every month, this month on August 13, in the courtyard of the Talbot Pub in the centre of Cuckfield. It runs from 9.30am until 12.30pm. It is organised and run entirely by volunteers from Cuckfield Local group for the benefit of the community and to support local food producers. Local producers sell a variety of home-cooked food in addition to local cheeses, bread, meat, game, jams and honey and fish; also organic vegetables from Laines Farm. It is well supported and enjoyed by the community and also by visitors from further afield. Many come to the market to buy produce and then stop for coffee at local coffee shops. The market recently welcomed its 25,000th visitor.
