The lunch time concert: in Holy Trinity Church on Friday 6th May will be a special one, being Fiona Fawcett's 90th birthday recital concert. Fiona will be sharing some of her favourite pieces from the piano repertoire including works by Schubert, Schumann and Chopin. The concert starts at1.00 (until 2.00), however soup and birthday cake will be served from 12.30.

FLOWERS FOR THE QUEEN: To celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday 1926--2016, the church group of flower arrangers, with others, will depict an event in each decade of the Queen’s life in the form of flower arrangements. The display will take place in Holy Trinity Church , Cuckfield on Saturday 21st May from 10am to 4pm and Sunday 22nd May from 11:30 am to 5pm . Tea and cake served for £3 on Saturday only from 10am to 12 pm and from 2pm to 4pm . Donations towards the church reordering fund .

NSPCC: Cuckfield Branch will be holding their popular annual plant sale on Saturday 7th May 10-1 at Brinkley Lodge, London Road, Cuckfield. There will be a wide variety of good-value plants including perennials, patio plants and veggies. Entrance free. Coffee and home-made cakes and an attractive garden to wander around. Don’t forget the Cuckoo Fayre: that takes place on May Day Bank Holiday Monday, 2nd May, in the Recreation Ground, from 12:00pm, Entry is free. There is also the popular Dog Show, open to all, with many wide ranging classes. There is a licensed bar available. As 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the Independent State of Cuckfield we are looking forward to be joined by some of our previous Mayors for the official opening.
